How SKICORP moved from a stalled ERP initiative to a successful Exactlly environment across the group
An earlier ERP initiative on Microsoft Dynamics ran for around two years without delivering the result the business needed. Exactlly implemented exactllyERP to SKICORP's full satisfaction in less than a year. It now supports all verticals of the business, alongside exactllyHRMS, in a relationship of more than seven years.
Customer Proof
A diversified group, and why the ERP question was a hard one
SKICORP describes itself publicly as a system-driven group operating across a range of manufacturing and product businesses.
Many businesses, one group
SKICORP has operated since 1994 and presents itself publicly as a group of companies and divisions, each with its own brand, working across a spread of product categories. Its own published material lists business categories including reinforcements for accessories, water-based adhesives and spray systems, self-adhesive and reinforcement tapes, packaging solutions, leather chemicals, PSA tapes and thermoadhesives, homewares, machines and zippers. It operates from Kolkata with a presence across India and in other countries in the region.
That shape is what makes an ERP decision difficult. A group of this kind is not one business running one process at a larger scale. It is several businesses with genuinely different operating patterns, sharing a group that needs to see across all of them. A system has to fit each vertical well enough to be used daily, and fit the group well enough to be worth having.
Getting that wrong is not a small setback. It absorbs two things a group cannot easily replace: the time of the people who run the business, and their confidence that a system change will land.
SKICORP at a glance
SKICORP has been an Exactlly client for more than seven years. exactllyERP runs across all verticals of the business, and exactllyHRMS is used to its full potential alongside it.
That is the position today. It is not where the group started, and the route it took is the reason this story is worth reading: SKICORP arrived at Exactlly after an earlier ERP initiative had already consumed around two years without delivering what the business needed.
SKICORP's own public material names Exactlly among the systems the group has introduced, alongside the other business systems it runs.

Two years in, the earlier initiative had not delivered
What happened before Exactlly
SKICORP first set out to implement Microsoft Dynamics. That initiative ran for around two years and did not deliver the result the business needed. The group decided to change course.
That sequence establishes the position Exactlly started from, and that position matters. A second attempt at ERP is a harder project than a first. The business has already spent the time, the people have already been through a programme that did not land, and the appetite for another long exercise is limited. Whatever came next had to work, and had to be seen to work quickly.
Implemented to full satisfaction in less than a year
Less than half the time the earlier initiative had already taken, with the result the business had been trying to reach.
The earlier initiative
Around two years, and the desired result was not achieved.
The Exactlly implementation
Less than one year, and delivered to the customer's full satisfaction.
Why the comparison is the point
Those two figures sit next to each other for a reason. Taken alone, "implemented in under a year" is a schedule. Set against two years that had not produced the outcome, it shows that the second attempt was a different kind of project, not simply a faster run at the same one.
The measure that matters in the second line is not the duration. It is "full satisfaction", the customer's own assessment of the result, which is the thing the first initiative had not reached.

With Exactlly
The implementation that landed, and stayed
- Exactlly implementation begins A second ERP project, starting from a business that had already been through one.
- exactllyERP delivered in less than a year Implemented to the customer's full satisfaction.
- Rolled out across all verticals The system is used successfully across every vertical of the business.
- exactllyHRMS to its full potential People operations join the same Exactlly environment.
- More than seven years, and continuing An active relationship rather than a completed project.
The interesting number is not seven years. It is that stages three and four took less time than stage two.
exactllyERP across all verticals of the business
The confirmed scope is the whole business, not a pilot in one division.
One environment, every vertical
exactllyERP is used successfully across all verticals of SKICORP's business. For a group whose divisions run genuinely different product operations, that is the claim worth making and the hardest one to earn.
Breadth of this kind is a stronger signal than depth in any single area. A system that suits one division can be a good fit for that division and a poor fit for the group. A system in daily use across every vertical has had to accommodate each of them, and has kept being used after the implementation team moved on.
Seven years is what turns that from a go-live into a fact about how the group operates.
exactllyHRMS, used to its full potential
Not an add-on to the ERP
SKICORP uses exactllyHRMS to its full potential. The customer's own words put it alongside the ERP rather than beneath it: exactllyHRMS is equally important to the group's people operations.
That is worth separating from the more common pattern, where an HRMS is bought with an ERP and then used for a fraction of what it does. Full use is a different statement. It means the people side of a diversified group is being run in the same environment as the rest of the business, by choice, seven years in.
